Default Cup to G-pipe - not sure I like it

This weekend I installed my Fabspeed 200 cell cat pipe, primary muffler, G-pipe, and Wong chip. The 964 may pull a little harder down low but I would say the biggest difference is the sound. I am not 100% sure I like it as much as the Cup Pipe and certainly not as mush as my 993 with 200 cell X-pipe and Motorsound. The volume and tone are good and it now has a little overrun stuff happening. I find the pulse a little like my old modded Saabaru(wrx), maybe it will grow on me

I also put on some 3mm RothSport spacers and they pulled the wheels out to the fender edge.

Sure thing you are first in line. I am going to try it out for few weeks to see if it grows on me.

I'm with you on the G-pipe sound. Made it sound too much like a muscle car IMO. Mine came with one fitted and it was the first thing I ditched.

Hmm just sent a line out asking about these pipes. I just put a C pipe on my car about two weeks ago and am not sure if I like the sound and may have a G pipe on the way. Not sure what a Subaru sounds like but I was told the G has a deeper sound than the C pipe ...
If all works out I will have the two to change out and make a choice and if I do not like one I can put the other on for a bit and then change back and forth. I was told my car is louder than a stock 964 already before the pipe change out. We shall see. Just looking for that deeper sound. The C pipe is just a bit louder at idle but when you get on the pipe you can tell the diff. quiet intill on the pedal Good for around town.

+2 on the G-pipe. It definitly adds an outlaw sound to the car. My neighbor who rides Harley's told me it sounds awesome.

Just found out that the pipe I am getting is a swan neck and not a true to say g pipe. Should not make a hill of beans. One thing I like is that the pipe is a long neck and has the mounting holes so that the tail pipe is not just hanging out there by the clamps. I am still looking for a deeper note. The C pipe does sound good, and quiet utill you get on the pipe and then it makes noise. I am not sure you can make a P car sound bad ;0 WE shall see.....

I have the cup pipe/cat bypass from fabspeed. Happy with the performance and it sounds great. Music to my ears.
