Default Screw Hole Treatment???

I've removed what appears to be a tamper-proof mounting bracket, probably for a CD changer, from the front trunk area. What's left are ten holes into the left wheel bulkhead.

Any ideas as to how best seal these holes to prevent any rust issues? I suppose I could reinstall the screws but I'd like a clean, permanent solution.

Oh, and if anyone's interested, I shaved off 1.4 pounds from the car by removing the bracket...I know...awesome.

Can you show a picture of the holes? I'm having difficulty visualizing if this is a factory installation or an aftermarket one.

Okay, here's a picture...it's actually 8 screw holes above the battery...

I'm thinking of maybe drilling the holes out just a little bigger to get down to fresh metal, then perhaps some OSPHO, then silver colored gutter sealant to plug the holes...What do you think?

Looks like an aftermarket installation to me. How to best cover them? If there is not existing corrosion, I would be tempted to paint them with some good primer and then some matching paint. If you want to hide the holes, you could either use some caulking or perhaps some plastic plugs.
