Actually it turns out that it's a take off from a 997 called the "front muffler" part number 99711115932 so with minimal effort - works/fits pretty well with the B & B exhaust

and it's a 911 exhaust - so should sound like a 911 exhaust...

I'll bet it sounds great, thanks for that. Have you got yours running yet?

The Flowmaster sounds great but are too loud for most, Dynmax are somewhat quieter, but the 997 muffler sure looks to have more volume which will control the noise better and factory stuff is just well made.

this is without tips - (it was exiting right behind the bumper - which made it a little buzzy)

With tips - it sounds like a proper porsche (and much more pleasant inside the car)

Not sure why you guys think it will only be 280bhp I would expect closer to 310. I am running just a 100 cell cat and magnaflow muffler on tight motor no other mods and here are the dyno charts. I also tested my GTS that day and compared it to the results of the same car on a dynapac which i trust more and they were almost identical so I believe these numbers to be accurate.

If I can hit 247 rwhp 236 rwtq I don't see why you can't get more with a header and chip. Using 15% drive train loss that would be 291bhp and 279 tq so I would guess another 5-10% could be achieved over what I am seeing.
