Default Battery drain in just 2 days only when the car is locked SOLVED

My 90 c4's battery is drained out after 2 days. Whithout having the car locked, the drain is normal, but after i lock it, with the key, i have drain of about 6 amp, which i pressume that is incorrect because it takes 2 days to empty the battery, maybe am i not measuring the drain right. Also the red diodes do not work, when the car is locked.
Any ideas?

RESOLVED
It was from the left diode which helps that pin to illuminate when the car is locked.
I guess this is a new cause for the battery drainage problem

Make sure that the interior dome lights are turning on when you open each door. I spent a few days breaking my head w/ a power window drain (verified by pulling fuse, drain stopped) an it turned out it was the driver's side door jam switch not registering me opening the door, thus leaving the windows powered.

I had a similar problem and it was the A/C turning on the fan and running overnight. I removed the A/C control head and left it for a weekend and the battery was fine. I replaced the A/C head and now the car has gone up to 10 days with no dead battery.

The a/c unit is fine. I repeat, i have NO drain if i do NOT lock the car. With the doors closed, unlocked, the drain is about 20 ma.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? The other way to check for the drain is to start pulling fuses and measure the draw.

If it's not any of the fused items, it can only be one of three things. Alarm, starter or alternator. I had an 18.5A draw. A steel braided heater hose wore through the sheathing on the big red wire that goes to the starter, grounding it.

Given that this happens when you lock the car, my guess would be its the alarm system.

Good luck. Electrical problems are such a pain to track down.

Alarm system has no fuse, as i recall. I do have AUTOSONIK alarm fitted, but it is disabled. It has been installed over the original aalrm system by dealer i guess, as it has the sticker on the glass PORSCHE ALARM SYSTEM AUTOSONIK. How do i check the alarm system?
I disconnected the central locking relay, the alarm. No result. The drain is present as soon as i lock one door, no matter if it is L R

I'm not trying to take over this thread, but I have to ask about this as my car has been doing something curious over the last couple days.

It used to be that, after turning off the ignition, power windows would work until I opened either door. Now, once in a while, I can come back to the car after 5 - 10 minutes and still be able to operate windows without insterting key.

Am I looking at a similar issue as you had?

Is it possible that the physical action of locking the door is causing one of the moving parts to rub up against an abraised wire? If you put an ammeter in place of each fuse you should be able to determine which (if) one of the fused lines is drawing 6 amps or the unfused line going to the alternator.

can you detail? My car is not drawing current unless is locked, either with the key, either with the door lock, even with the alarm disconnected and the central locking relay disconnected...

Hi I know my car isn't the same as yours. I have an audi q7 2007 but the funniest thing is my car battery will drain when we lock it and it will drain you don't press the unlock button after getting out of the car. It is so weird and racking my brain. What is a diode? Thank you.
