Mmmh, this is what I don't like...
What front measure were you running on PS2s? How come you didn't go with 225 fronts?

Thanks a LOT

My size is 215/45 and 255/50. 225s were not an option because the group buy only included the 215 In comparison, the PS (not PS2...just PS) were 205/50 and 255/50.

Mind you, I have not yet taken the car for a proper winding road drive, where you can get up to a rhythm and brake properly up to the apex of a corner....this is just the experience from driving around the city, roundabouts, etc. The car definitely seems more "planted".

I eliminated the Star Specs from consideration 2 years ago because their autocross peak performance drops off faster than the AD08's. The RS3 was not available 2 years ago....but I would probably still go with the AD08's over the RS3 today because in my sizes (16") the AD08 is lighter per tire and the tread width is wider than on the RS3.

But overall it's hard to go wrong with the AD08, RS3, Star Spec, or the Bridgestone RE11.

I am running Hankook Ventus R S3's in 225/45 (fronts) & 255/40 (rears). LOVE them. Grippy, comfortable on the road, and very sporty on track. It's a fine all arounder and actually very price competitive.
