It's easy to do, just remove the valve and connect the two pipes with each other. You can bend the pipes gently with your hands to make them line up.

Has anyone else done this? Any feedback? Expectations? Horror stories?

I can imagine there would be an increase in braking power, but would you really start to lock up the rear tires under heavy braking? Would having wider tires in the rear (lets say 255's ), make a difference?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am in the midst of putting the 4piston calipers onto my rear, and this p/v topic definitely has me snooping around. I'm just not sure I can get a 55 bar valve in time for Laguna Seca, and I definitely don't want to have any unpleasant surprises at the track ...

Yep - did this last year. Very easy to do.

Car is much more balanced on braking and stable with trail braking.

(see my sig link for brake setup details which is far from stock!).

I also did it more than a year ago: PERFECT!

Instead of bending the pipes, open the proportioning valve and revove the interiors.

Trust me Pualie. I would spread dangerous tips around on this forum. As said it's a "factory race" set up so it's not just a bright idea I got :-)

Perhaps think about an adjustable Tilton rear bias valve.

You're not limited by a race classification, it's tremendously inexpensive, infinitely adjustable and very easy to install.

I also bought one, but I haven't found the right place to install it yet... Where did you put it?

Yes, this is what I did - Garrett posted a thread on this last year, IIRC.

Mine is going into the center console (the vertical part) where the three rocker switches used to be.

Are you guys gutting the PV on street cars or race cars? C2 or C4?

Can you explain the benefit?

I did it on my 95% track C4 to better balance braking front/rear and give a more predictable lock up point for the rear brakes as well as reduce braking required of the front brakes.

Garrett did the same thing on his C4 race car here (and it was 6 years ago, not last year - wow, how time flies!).

When you read the one link, you can see how folks are saying that the delete is not the best idea for stock brake set up ...

what can one (me) expect if I have the stock calipers up front and "upgraded" C2/4 4 pods in the back?

Ok guys, so i'm checking back in on this one ...

With the addition of 4 pod calipers in the read, the deletion of the p/v valve was a great contributor in braking ability and modulation. I was expecting the back brakes to lock up, but nothing of the such ever happened. A big

Thanks for all the advice, here's a picture for you guys to enjoy ...
