Default 964 RSR mowing down a field of racers

Holy cow this driver/car is impressive. He's literally flying pass every car on the track... (Story/pictures/video found at Porsche Scene Live)

(some inspiration for Kai this coming weekend...and your pending mods. )
Video link: http://youtu.be/zj56sXqPUS8

not having any luck embedding YT videos...

Yep, I think that guy qualifies to be moved out of the novice run group.

Great driving.

Did anyone notice that his steering wheel has a yellow stripe on it and its not vertical when he's driving straight? Its about 10-20 degrees off.

Oh my!!! He can flat pedal a rear engine car; grew up with them. I believe his Dad runs the Porsche Museum in Sw. Gmund.

I get a funny "feeling" watching that, thank you so very much.

Both Steve and Jeff say we can get a conservative 370hp next year; Jeff has a few tricks up his sleeve, including special cast heads and his slide valves.

Both made interesting comments about running 315 rear tires. If one is OK sliding around at 80mph, with the big stickies on, that sliding occurs at much greater speeds - introspection will occur prior to the build.

Little Claudia has her slicks on (looking mean!), is loaded up and we're headed out to High Plains Raceway tmrw for a three day event.

Interesting video. The red car does not have centerlock wheels, I wonder if it is a factory RSR or nog

The website were I copied that from says the driver is:
Onboard: Christoph Pfeifhofer, 1993er Porsche 964 RSR 3,8 beim Porsche Alpenpokal 2011 (2. Lauf am 25. Mai auf dem Slovakiaring)

I just missed my chance meet you in person and quickly say hello. I'm heading out to McPherson KS with my son to visit my dad. We're heading out tomorrow until Sunday...he lives just a couple miles from I35. It would have been cool to say hello and let Claudia meet my dad's '90 C2 cab (if you are taking I35/I70?). Next time!

Man, I can't wait to drive that thing with the top down...redline sounds a whole lot different with the top sawed off!

No kidding. So his second, more-or-less unimpeded lap was ~2:20. Quick check shows times for the Renault Clio Cup in May starting at 2:25. Interestingly, if you want to delve into the data, a plethora of Porsche classes show times from sub-2:10 to over 2:25.

I was thinking the same thing. I've worked on 2 of these and seen several others; all of which had centerlocks.

I had to go back through my files.

Seems the centerlocks were aval as an option for DM 6,710 (along with air jacks) for the racing version (M005) but not on the street/touring (M004) version.

Base price racing version DM 234,782.

I don't believe it...I think all the cars were asked to stay in a procession except the camera car!
