After about 3 years of scowering the internet looking for my Guards red on black C2 I finally found it. I flew out and picked it up about two weeks ago. I'm in love with it and can't wait to make it 100% perfect. I have a few issues with it currently, obviously the ride height which I have in the works. There is an airbag light on and I'm not sure where to start. If anyone has any suggestions or tips please feel free.

Here are some pics of the 93 C2!

Again, suspension is on the way and sorry about the small pics, not sure how to enlarge them

Welcome and congratulations! Red 964's are the best ones. What are you plans for the car? Will you keep it as is or do you have a lot of mods planned? How will you be using the car? Street, autocross, drivers ed, racing, concours, all of the above?

Regarding the air bag light, when you had the PPI done, did your mechanic give you any hints as to what the cause was? Or did the air bag light come on after purchase? I know this may be a dumb question, do you know anyone who has a Hammer or Scantool? They can pull the error codes off the car's computer. It might tell you what is causing the air bag light to be on. They can also reset the light, if it came on in error.

Thanks, I'll have to see if I can get a scan tool hooked up to it. The only real plans I have are lowering it, getting some multi-piece wheels and installing some black leather Recaro SRD's I have. Maybe an exhaust but nothing performance or engine related. Its perfect the way it is I think. I spent all sunday clay baring, polishing and waxing the paint and it turned out great. Nothing mechanical at all, not a drop of oil anywhere!

I dont really plan on racing it or anything just a sunday cruiser down to the beach or something, hopefully start showing up at some local Porsche GTG's that type stuff.

I was first thinking H&R springs/Koni adjustable but I might be leaning towards coilovers now, just to have the height adjustability. Although I dont want to go very low its nice to have the ability.

Also, I was looking into replacing the steering wheel with a nardi wheel, where is the best/price friendly place to buy the wheel hub?

Looks nice - more pics when you pick it up.

I went with PSS10's - full adjustabilty is nice. I lowered mine 1" and it was too harsh, so I raised it about 1/2" - just right. Now to fine tune the shock adjusments.

Good luck.

Anyone know why it wont let me post in the classifieds? Do you have to be a memeber for a certain amount of time?

Congrats!!!
I always thought Guards Red is the nicest color on a 911.
Did you by any chance buy the one from Brian Buxton??
I was actually looking at that one. Cant tell from the photos.

Thanks guys! It wasn't Brian Buxton. The pictures dont do it any justice. Its near mint condition, not a part of the car has been repainted other than the slight touchup I did on the tiny rock chips up front. Also the drivers door pocket was cracked but I'm in the process of replacing it.

Anyone have a line on a good, stock looking cd player that'll match the orange illumination of the gauges? PO had installed a blue/purple Panasonic that has to go!
