Took my first big drive in the 964 last weekend up to Monterey for a wedding and man it was just gorgeous. I don't think I have ever seen weather this clear. Thought I'd share a few of my photos from the trip! I was planning on a very spirited drive but honestly the views were so spectacular I didn't have much of a chance to put my foot down. =O
I can't wait for my next trip which will be up to Pebble Beach for the Concours. Anyone going from LA area interested in joining?

One of the primary reasons to own these cars...to be able to drive in environments like these. I'm stuck on the other side of the continent for now, bit will return some day. Thanks for the inspirations. Beautiful car and scenery.
Incredible photos & great looking Cab! I once did that drive in my 70E from Cayucos to Carmel Valley in an hour. Best drive ever! Was a bit overcast and I was not paying attention to the views at those speeds. Perhaps next time..
I've always considered Highway 1 ground zero for driving. I love how the mountains meet the sea and all the different beaches and views keep it interesting. Not much fun in the fog though.
Beautiful car and it doesn't get much better than perfect weather in a nice, fast cab, on a road like that.
One of the best drives, but you're right..........while you can drive briskly, you'll never drive fast on Hwy 1. Like there's a point on pretty much any CA road anymore, they're in such bad shape. Not to mention the fines for citations out here these days. (Latest is that a second violation in 18 months of one for which you've done a traffic school unmasks the first one, gets you to about half way being considered a negligent driver, and is reported to your insurance.)
my buddy got pinched for doing 27 mph on a 15mph trail, on his mountain bike. Battery operated radar gun, $250+ fine, traffic school, no joke. This was up in the Bay area....
