Well it's not mine, but my dad's. We got it for him for Father's Day, and he's just beside himself with giddiness.
It's a 1991 C2 Targa in Guards Red over black. The previous owner put about $14,000 worth of work into it in the past two years, including an engine rebuild, a new clutch, new A/C compressor, new oil cooler. Plus the dealer replaced typical wear items, in addition to the oil lines and things of that nature. The car runs beautifully, just needs a little cosmetic polishing to be really fantastic.
I know the pics are crappy, can't do much about that, but I'm glad to have him on-board the Porsche persuasion. And his 964 will look great next to my 986.

Check the receipts for the repairs and see exactly what was done...and what might not have been done. Check the reputation of the shop for its Porsche reputation. My car, with very similar repairs to what you describe - complete rebuild, clutch , A/C rebuild, etc. - lasted just four months before it dropped a valve. A closer review of the receipts revealed that the valve guides had not been replaced with the major work. It was an "exotics" garage that apparently didn't know that proper clearance of the valve guides is what helps cool them. STUPID!
I don't mean to rain on your parade, but a word to the wise.....
Anyway, it's a beautiful car and I'm sure your Dad is very proud and excited to have it. Good Luck amd Enjoy.

The receipts we have show the valves and guides were replaced along with the piston rings and case studs. Omega Motorsports here in Jacksonville did the service work for the previous owner. Brakes are also fresh within the last few thousand miles (and they work well ).
The previous owner traded it in on an '86 Ruf 930 Slantnose.
The car has 147k on it, the rebuild was done in '08 (according to the work receipts).
