Source for repair panels
OK, so I bought my old 964 back.
I am going to fix the rust she has, and the bodyshop guy would rather use a repair panel for the front screen/scuttle and sharkfin area..(which is reassuring and scary at the same time - but I guess she is 22 years old and always got driven year 'round in Scotland).
Is there a good place to get repair panels UK or US (we're in no rush, its a back-of-the-shop project whilst I have a little Italian phase..). Most likely source I'm considering is Porsche themselves, but I'd appreciate any other suggestions? Thanks.

Guy I have this as I was going to do the same but I bought a new full rear quarter
If you want it just pay the postage and its yours its off an earlier car but will be just fine as a donor panel
I got the full panel YUM

See Norman (Nskis) current Project Amazon thread, he fitted a complete new roof to his car but didn't use the lower sections of the roof ie the bottom section of the A posts and the scuttle.
Drop him a PM, he's in Liverpool

Alright there lads..I thought this thread had been a non-starter..
There is going to be a good market for this stuff in the next 10 years as 964's start to get crustier..so far the best sources I found were OPC, type911 and Porscheshop, but there arent really panels for the usual 964 rust areas like rear screen corner etc.
Thanks for the kind offer of the quarter panel clinchy993 - I'll check but I think that part of mine is fixed now - the body shop patched it, they werent too worried about it. That is a very pretty new panel you have there sure enough- but what car is in foreground in the pic? It looks a bit French..
The lower A posts and scuttle only is exactly what I need - found out that Porsche sell the roof and front windscreen surround as a complete unit (at a price you'd expect), so I have stayed away from that plan.
But I'll mail Nski, thanks for the tip -off.

Sorry chaps, I bought Norm's unused scuttle with about 6 inches of windscreen pillar attached, stashed in my garage as I too have some crustiness in the lower corners of the screen..

Just so you don't all feel too bad, mine's another one that needs some rust sorting and a good paint over. At least one rear quarter is going to need replacing (light box is falling apart). Just need to find the right place to get her sorted.
Great to hear you're back Jonny

You'll see pictures of my '73 car which had a sunroof roof and slightly corroded front screen aperture at the base of the A posts. As you can see, like Nski, I've replaced the complete roof, front and rear screen apertures and the scuttle.
The part to replace it (964 503 087 00) both on my early car and Nskis 964 is, as you can see, a 964 part number.
It fits an early car (such as mine) an SC, a 3.2 Carrera, a 964 and IIRC a 993.
Ergo the part I've linked to will fit all the above

wow - nice to see the part in the flesh. What is it, about 1700 quid? Might have been worth it, even with the hassle of headlining and loom, but the 'shop has fixed the rear screen seal areas now. Thanks anyway.
Rear light unit and quarters is a BIG mud trap - in behind the rear light heat shields especially. I'm even thinking of some sort of wheelarch liner for this part. Could work especially without the secondary silencer in place...(hmm..)
