Default Strut + Shock Mounts?

Hi all,

I'm looking for some new strut and shock mounts for a '94 964 C2 --- where do I buy 'em?

I looked on Pelican's site but couldn't find them there --- I don't have Part #'s though... ?

Roughly how much are they?

I assume the front strut mounts are made up of bearings encased in rubber in a mounting plate, with a spring perch below?

And then the rears are going to smaller and more simple rubber bushings in a small mounting plate?

Thanks!

Here is the link to the page on Pelican Parts. I have learned over the years that when you can't find the part in one of the main categories, it is almost always in the Miscellaneous category (like these are).

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...g11.htm#item54

When I have switched to a hood "prop" for the front hood after a couple of painful incidents. Seems like the rear struts hold up better over time than the fronts.

Ok, thanks!

Do you know what the Part # for the rear shock mount is? It also has rubber in the mount, correct?

Here's the Porsche 964 parts schematics. You might want to repace all the rubber components.

Not sure the deal on the rear...my wrench went thru the entire suspension when I got the PSS10s installed...he inspected/replaced everything that was needed...don't see the rears on the BOMs...

The rear mount part numbers are:
964 333 064 04 for '89, '90
964 333 059 00 for '91 on

It has a rubber insert so after 20 years, there is a good chance it is breaking up to some degree.

Hope this helps.

Is there an aftermarket/upgraded part to replace these mounts?

Do suspension kits, such as KWv3 or KW CS, come with replacement mounts, or do they reuse the OEM?

For some reason, though, these parts don't come up on Pelican Parts' website... ???

How much are they? Are they still available? Where from?

Bump - are there 993 parts that will install in place of these 964 mounts?

The rear suspension set up on 993 is different to 964 so the top mounts may well be different.

Rennline to aftermarket 'monoball' top mounts for the 964.
