R134 RECHARGE
I brought my car into the shop today to pressure test ac system to see if there was any pressure in it and check what the cause of my compressor not engaging.
to my surprise conversion was already done to r134 by previous owner but they only installed low side r134 adapter.
so i evacuated the system and recharged with new r134 and right away the compressor kicked in and i got cool air not super cold as it was only partially filled. However cause the high side port adaptor was missing hard to tell when it was full .
can you buy the high side port adapter independantly?

Here's a source for fittings>>>>http://www.fm-distributing.com/catal...ml?catId=68136
Your local auto parts store might have them in stock. When I converted my car from r12 to 134a I left off the high side adapter because it's another source for a leak, though I have it handy for my guage set.
Also, since you evacuated your system it'll be best if you recharge to the recommended amount weight wise....you don't go by hi side pressure.
