[Hijack] Hmmm.... I have oil seepage from the lower center of the the intake manifold on my new-to-me '90 C4 and was a little perplexed by where it came/comes from. Is this a likely culprit? Are there other suspects? TIA! [/Hijack]

Thanks for all the good advice... I changed the oil to Swepco 20-50 along with the breather hose which was hard as a rock... This has slowed the leak to just a drop after a spirited drive... Has anyone changed out the breather gasket? looks like it could be Pandora's box with the fuel lines and brackets....
However, I prefer to pull the whole manifold - it's a good opportunity to inspect your fuel lines (I had one line that had a soft bulge and could have split at any time), replace the rubber intake gaskets, and clean the engine shroud, which probably has its fair share of caked-on oil.
Certainly could be. Check your oil level, also inspect the breather gaskets and breather hoses (there are hoses from the oil tank to the intake, and another from the engine-mounted breather to the intake - this one is typically a braided-type hose).

But very doable. My car has no power steering or A/C, so that helps. As I remember, I took the airbox off and loosened some of the intake fittings on the other side to get two hands back there. Just make sure that you hang on to your nuts!

Well today I finally got around to changing out the breather gasket and while I was in there cleaned the intake manifold...(Couldn't figure out how to add the link "Intake Cleaning")... After a spirited drive... no more drips....

On page 248 #31 of the PET (sorry can't figure how to attach the diagram) The breather hose comes down behind the intake manifold and attaches to the breather lid, between the lid and the case is the gasket... The hose, gasket, temp sender O rings and crush rings were 95% of my leaks.....
