Just added a little color the wheels, thought I would share ...

All clean and ready to go for my drive down to Laguna Seca to check out the Ferrari Race ...

Those wheels are sweet! I like the gold on black and on white. I also run those tires. Love em. What are the wheels and what size are they? Thanks for sharing. What shade of gold?

The wheels are off a Boxster (I believe), bought them a while back off Ebay and haven't been able to find them anywhere. Running 255s in the rear and 215 in the front (fronts came with 205s). I went with the STI Gold from Grimmspeed on the wheels. And as for the Hankooks, LOVE EM ...

Thanks for the kind words

Wow, the gold wheels ont he black car looks really nice. Being a bit of a traditionalist, I'm surprised at how much I like it!

Looks good!
Trying to convince a buddy to go a little darker gold(bronze) on his black 996.

Add gold "Carrera" side stripes, perhaps?

Gold done right actually works. For those that remember earlier BBS mag racing wheels on sports race cars 25 years ago, it's a nice throwback. 10 years ago, it would have been out of style. But what's old is new again.

Slightly biased...

Best,

Matt

Paulie,

Are the wheels 17's or 18's. If 17's, I'd love to know the wheel weights, offsets, and model. If they are light enough, I would consider buying a pair and do exactly what you have done. Me likey!

That is a stunning setup. My heart would definitely start racing everytime I walked to that car.

The gold wheels really work here for a few reasons. You've got the stance and the wing just finishes it off nicely. No actually the red calipers finish it off nicely!

Funny you mention gold wheels and going to a Ferrari race. That was my first thought, "is that a F. gold color wheel?" So it's STI gold (for lack of a better name), ...is it darker than the gold F. uses? Gold is the color of the moment.

Thanks for the link Atgani! So they are 10 spoke 996 wheels 7x17 (F) and 9x17(R). Anyone know the offsets by chance? Are they a diect bolt on, or are spacers required? Any one know the weights?

Many Thanks,

Chris
