What do you think of this 91 964?
Hi,
What do you guys think of this car near me for sale? I've owned an 83 and 99 911 in the past.
I see that the headliner looks torn, but it has new seat covers, which looks nice, and looks overall in good shape from the pix. Top looks newer to me also.
What do you think this is worth, assuing the PPI checked out ok?
I sort of fancy the color combo. Unique.
Also, what would you recommend for aftermarket wheels (not a fan of the stock wheels at all) and a rear spoiler?
I saw on this forum somewhere that 1991's are preferred over 1990's. Why is this? Something change/improve or just newer?
Thanks,
Todd

price looks reasonable to me. Later 91 had cylinder heads with a gasket and new style rear shocks. Not much else different. 92 changed side mirrors.

Seems like a fair price. The only way to be sure of the head gasket is to check the engine number.
I did not make the cutoff, missed it by 200 units. If you ever plan to upgrade the shocks, be careful as they were also changed mid '91 model year.
Let me know if you need a recommendation for a PPI in DelCo.
Personally I love the Speedlines but they are expensive and tough to keep clean. Cup1 and Cup2
would be my next choice.

If it's in Delaware, Winner Porsche is the closest dealership. They were good at one point, their lead mechanic is down in Annapolis and I am happy about that, if you go the dealership route in Delaware let me know and I will go visit my guy and he will tell me who you want to look at the car at Winner.
That top may have some issues, make sure that the top works correctly. Cab/roof repairs can be pricey, not the just replacing the top itself - I heard that the cab roof has 300 moving parts, does anyone know if this is true??
Where in the burbs are you located??

Thanks all. I'm in Chadds Ford, PA. Delaware County.
I said that the top looked newer, based on a picture of the top up (I could be wrong though). But I did notice the headliner was ripped.
I plan to have a look this weekend...
I'll look up the speedlines for a look.
Regards!

2- top has a 2 inch tear near the window and the window is little foggy
3- clutch was done few months ago including few oil lines and oil cooler
4- there is some oil under the engine, but doesnt leak to the ground lol (yet)
5- top works fine
6- brake pads were done couple of years ago, everything else original

Too funny... RIGHT before I read your post my wife had looked over my shoulder and said "whose *** is that?!" and rolled her eyes. LOL. Car forums in general are pretty funny with avatars.
