Today I went to my Porsche dealer to speak with the airooled mechanic. I tell him the valve relief and the spring relief, He tell me that he think that could be the problem. But he tell me NOT TO PUT 20w50, he said that is an old oil for that kind of engine, he told me to change to 10w40, but not to 20w50.
What do you think guys?

Just working at a Porsche dealer does not make him an expert.
Does he rebuild & maintain many team race cars?

I run 20W50 and believe you need a W50 in your hot climate.
Also I would be a little concerned about your temperature, unless you were stuck in traffic before you took the picture. My temp. gauge has never read that high. Is your oil cooler fan working?

5w in hot weather is just too thin (IMHO) I dont run 5w unless its below 20 degrees F
I am at about 100k on the odo and run 20/50 from March to sometime in November when it goes to 10/40

We're pretty much all running 20W-50. One of Steve Weiner's specific recommendations is Mobil V-Twin (yes, the bike stuff) for ZDDP content.
But back to the low pressure at idle. Couple of years ago a '94 cab with a rod knock fell into my hands. 197K on the clock, and the owner caught the noise when it went pretty big time as he was around the corner from his shop. Saved the engine.
Anyway, this car had service records from about 80K to when I got it. It seemed to ALWAYS have low oil pressure at idle. Light would come on whenever it was warmed up. (Kind of like what we'd see pretty commonly with the early 2.0 engines.) No manner of changing oil or quick fixes did a damned thing. So the guy who ended up with it last just kinda drove it with one ear tuned to what was going to happen.
Wish I could say what I found, but I pulled the engine and stuck it on a shelf.

The 964 manual states that when engine and oil are hot , the low press light at idle is no cause of alarm.... I reckon that Porsche AG knows best !
But I admit being used to Alfa's it scared the cr** out off me the first time.....

In the manual says sometimes, not always, and no too hot, I know my problem isnt' normal
Guys, what do you think about 15w40? could be the solution in stead of 20w50? I don't know what to use, If I fix the problem changing the valve and the spring I will leave 5w40, but if I don't I will change to 20w50, or 10/15w40.
I don't know what to do, my mechanic say not to use 20w50, but here 90% use it and oil pressure is perfect and the engine in general.. so I don't know what to do.
My mechanic rebuilds every aircooled engine in Tenerife. He is a really good guy, he listen to me, and that's what I want! I had some bad experience with "porsche specialist" who put 2 quarters more of oil in my oil tank.. so imagine..

My oil blower and thermosthat works OK, I leave the car in the garage started for a few time to get that temp.

You could change to a 10w50.
15w40 will make it thicker when cold but won't make it thicker when hot.
A 10w50 would remain relatively thin at start up and have a higher viscosity when hot to reduce the low pressure issue (if it is an issue at all). Porsche do have a 5w50 spec oil on its list But you could try the Silkolene Pro s which is 10w50 also is a synthetic Ester.
But i wouldn't correct a problem with just thicker oil, try to correct the issue first i would suggest then look inot oil types for warmer weather.

I will try that.
I live in Santa Cruz of Tenerife, normal temp of 20-25, and Winters are a little bit cooler, but some degrees. Some times we've got really hard hot temp. So, 10w50?

It is another option for you if you don't feel happy to go too thick. But check with the mechanic you spoke too before. I would also investigate the problem before i try an oil solution (but thats just me)
Good luck
