Default Cam Timing

Just had my Porsche Club friends over to time my cams on the 3.6. (I'm STILL not sure what this does!)
Porsche Spec is 1.26, +/- 0.10 (so this gives a range of 1.16 retarded, and 1.36 fully advanced)
Initially, the left cam was 1.08, and the right was 1.07.
After they adjusted them, we ended up at 1.35 for both!

Can't wait to see how much more HP and torque it develops.

Advancing the cam will give a slightly improved lower end at the cost of slightly reduced top end.

It wont increase the overall top horsepower. It will actually lower it, but will move to an increase of HP in the lower RPM range.

used to be the hot ticket on the 3.2 Carreras.

+1 my wrench did the same when he did my chain cover gaskets. 100% street and seldom at redline.

Valve clearance also changes the effective valve timing. You will get a payback from getting the valves all spot-on.
