Default Flags -> Aeros

So I installed Aero mirrors today. I didn't intend to exactly, but I dropped by Dan Tidwell's house this afternoon with them in a box, and we just launched into the project. (I am not stupid... Dan is a great project partner)

Thanks Dan! Its nice to have a friend who will help with the re-wiring etc. He also helped me years ago with wiring in the OBC and the thermo sensor into my existing Flags...

My car is filthy, but I polished up the original black paint on the mirrors, so I have a filthy nasty car with clean ears. It looks comical.

Pics later.

Congtrats on the install! Well done, and so quick! I installed mine last week (need to update my avatar), although not the electric ones. It was weird, I initially missed the flags. I suppose I was so used to seeing the car in it's early form. I love the Aero's, but understand why there is a faction out there that ardently love the flags.

It's been proven that the flag guys get laid more often than the aero guys...I'm just sayin'...

Kidding aside, I'm torn between the two but have decided to leave my flags on for now. I have yet to corroborate the lay theory mentioned above...

If I wasn't doing a mild backdate (ducktail etc) - I would definitely go with the aero's - congrats!

Default Crappy iPhone pic.

Here's a shot. The iPhone insists on rotating it... so there it is.

I am no purist. Flags seem to work on the 944, but I like the softer forms of the aeros. It seems to blend well with the other curves.

To each their own.

I don't know if Flags get you laid more, but I can tell you that the inverted Barbie box got me some looks at the Porsche dealer... (seller sent me the mirrors in a re-used Barbie toy box, with the pink on the inside, but visible to all at the parts counter.) Kinda fun.

I got both, I like the flags better. The aeros maybe okay for the 993 but just don't look "right" on the 964

Just leave it that way to satisfy both flag and aero enthusiasts!
