Unhappy Good Bye From Me...

Well folks, unfortunately I will be saying good bye from here as sold my 964 cab this evening. Recent events conspired against me and having such a toy as a 3rd car meant that in the end it was not realistic to keep it.

Had the car for almost 9 years and done a lot of work on it, and benefitted from all the expertise on Rennlist in that time. Proud of how these old cars can still give the smiles and keep on running to high mileages without too many issues. At some point I may be back in a P car again I hope!

Oh and the good news is thankfully the car stays in the family - my cousin bought it as he had been looking at 911's and when I offered it to him he couldn't resist! Directed him towards here so hopefully you'll see him sometime soon (handover of the car isn't going to happen for about another month)

That's too bad you had to sell, but like you said, it will be close by. Maybe he'll let you drive now and again

Sorry to hear but drop in from time-to-time and maybe you'll get another some day.

Once you've had a 911 (like these), especially for 9 years, I don't think you could ever count out having another one in the future? 100% you'll be back.

Smart move selling it to someone in the family. Make sure your cousin understands you have the first rights to the car if he sells!

You got that right guys...I'll be back in a P car and probably a 911 at some point in the future. Just circumstances really, small kids and the car wasn't being used enough to justify keeping it as a 3rd car. Unfortunately unlikely to be another Tahoe Blue car as a rare colour - one that I loved and looked great on sunny days with the top down. Newer cars are so boring (got two silver with black interiors for other cars!) in their colour choices!

These cars are never truly owned, you only take care of them for their next owner! ;-) And my cousin has already agreed first rights to me if he has to sell!

I know the feeling, I just sold my 911 a couple months ago and I miss it more everyday. Amazing how these machines can creep into your soul. I agree I marveled at how well built these cars truly are, whats high mileage? The plus side is someone else is able to get into the passion.
