Default Help - misfiring...etc

Help!

I recently installed a LB2 for my 964 and it's been tough.

First install the car had a hard time building revs to 4000rpm. Above that was okay. FVD said perhaps there was a air leak. Sadly after running it I fouled a few plugs.

Fast forward with new plugs the car can't maintain revs at 1,200 to 1500rpm. It misfires.

Stationary, the car can't maintain 5,000rpm for a few secs. It'll drop to 4,500rpm and then go back to 5,000rpm.

My car ran so well stock. And now this. Sigh.

Sounds like either a vacuum leak or ignition issue. I know you are checking for leaks. Could you have a couple spark plug wires crossed? I would double check that they are going to the right plugs.

Strange.....the FVD LBII is a quality piece of kit. If hunting for vacuum leaks doesn't bring improvement I would try reinstalling the original chip and air sensor to see if the car performs as it used to.....

....if it does than the FVD kit is at fault (faulty programming of chip/faulty readings air sensor). If it still struggles than you should look elsewhere

Vacuum leaks! I had that problem, but it's an easy/cheap fix.
