That is an oil return line, which brings the oil to the thermostat which then directs it either to the oil cooler or back into the oil tank depending on the temperature of the oil. The pressure in that line is from the oil pumps scavange side and does not affect the oil pressure to the engines moving parts. As I said earlier, it is not a perfect situation but doesn't seem to have any ill effects.
Maybe some of our more knowledgeable members can chime in and let us know what they think, as I have been wondering myself.

Coincidentally, I was chatting to an independent Porsche garage a few weeks back;
I was telling them I planned to replace some of the rubber pipes going to/from the oil tank.
I had been surprised by the cost of some of the oil pipes (namely the one connecting from
the oil filter to the tank, which was £180+VAT). I asked if I could use OEM parts rather than
genuine Porsche parts without affecting the quality. Their reply was that some minor pipes
could be successfully substituted, however they said that they had had problems with one
non-Porsche pipe creasing and that they would only now fit a genuine pipe.
What they described was very similar to your image.

I had that problem with mine, and with a little bit of coaxing I was able to get that crease mostly eliminated. At first I was going to replace it, but decided against it. I now routinely drive it for half an hour at a time on the Track, and never see any issues with the oil temp or pressures.
