All you guys seem busy...this is good & wish I had the "know how" to start the more involved projects.
Did motor mounts, coils, rotors & caps last weekend...oh, fixed the "smile" also. I did drive up to talk to my Pcar wrench about a 72K mile service & check a leaking steering rack...car goes in at the end of the month.
Have a good weekend...hope to see some of you nuts at Hershey :~)

A bit of a to-do list this weekend, oil change, replace timing chain seals, chain tensioner seals, power steering cam seals, paint engine tin, replace rear roll bar bushes.
Oh and I have to go and watch Ireland beat England in the rugby on Saturday evening.

The car has been covertly housed at a couple of different addresses. During that time I have alleviated some of issues the car has had. Ironing out the suspension has been a coin toss, kick it to the stealership or DIMyself. 8 hours on the first suspension install, good God, I will have to get a half keg of Guinness to steady my nerves.
I have rolled into the house with some other unannounced projects, such as the 91 Vette, 90 C2, 01 Land Cruiser, 02 Passat GLX, 02 RX 300, 02 Jetta 1.8T, 98 Yamaha Grizzly 660, 04 FXHO Waverunner and now the 90 C4, so there is a track record...Why she hasn't put a .22 round in my kneecap is beyond me. I know my 6 year old will fired up about it, so I've got that going for me.

Car is with the wrench over the weekend for:
Annual inspection
Chain cover gaskets
tranny output shaft seal and the front diff seal
Power steering pump seals (and belt)
Bleed the C4 locks
airbag maintenance/testing
Custom child rear "seat" 4 point harness solution and LATCH anchor (pics to follow)
Install Cup Pipe
Install Cat Bypass - Yes I could handle these myself, but they are freebies with the Chain Cover Gaskets.
Install Steve Wong 93 (AKI) octane chip for use with Cat Bypass.

Then ignoring the so-so stereo, and original ride height, I can say it needs nothing!

Crystal, I was in Cork last month and didn't see one Porsche the entire week. Good luck with the Rugby Match.

Would love to go to Hershey, but we have family in town for Easter.

I did a bunch of stuff myself over the winter, so I can live with it. $2500 will be the damage. Mostly the gasket/seal work which is outside my comfort zone. (I provided the by-passes and chip) Low mileage really means squat when it comes to seals....

The car is back on the road and I mounted the summer kicks today as it was 69 F and sunny and I just couldn't resist. It feels awfully nice to be back behind the wheel.

It's nice to be back on Rennlist, too. I've been unable to share the comraderie while my car has been off the road for the past, oh, too long.

Jim, wish I were closer, I'd come and take that oak off your hands. It'd fit very nicely in my wood burning stoves. It sounds like it just might fill my six cord quota, too!

Cheers

You are so right when it comes to low mileage and seals, I have lived that first hand on the C2.

LOL, when I found it I knew that avatar was a good fit. Belushi died well before his time, did you know he was paid $40K for Animal House?
