you'll get better replies than this but here is a few notes ..

a) I had a discussion with powerchip and they said that they can burn a chip with my desired idle speed (although does this conflict with the the note below?) ...

b) from Steve Wong 911chips.com ... "The 964 DME does have some idle adaptation process time. It needs to learn and set a) base idle speed and b) base idle mixture."

c) some guys here have talked about scratching off the epoxy on the ISV and tinkering with the allen screw to adjust the idle. might be worth searching further.

Theres a small screw on the throttle linkage, adjust that and the tick over will increade or decrease.

Do you really want to adjust the idle speed? it is set by the DME... What problem are you trying to solve? as it may be elsewhere. Let us know so we can throw our opinions at you... ;-)

The small screw is on the linkage, on the spring loaded thingy, it controls where the linkage stops/rests.
Havent got a pic to hand.
Small grub screw, cross head, dead easy to find, emagine your reving the engine from the engine bay you move the gold color spring loaded thing, its the rest screw under the plate that you move with your finger.

Moved mine up a mm to help cure stall issue with lwf.

Can somebody post a pic of their rev counter. Mine sits at the 800rpm limit. The last mark before 1000rpm. I m thinking also at increasing the idle speed just a little

why in gods name would you want an idle speed higher than 800rpm.

My 993 turbo idles at 630rpm, and I wouldn't mind it lower.

I have a '90 C4 and was looking for adjustment screw as well. I had to use a mirror to see it and couldn't get a wrench on the locknut to do adjustment. Seemed to me I'd have to take most of intake off to get to locknut, so I put project on hold.

You will probably want to start with an Idle Adaptation through a Bosch Hammer first.
