Sorry for your loss, but I bet there are some great memories in all those years together. Lost my 13 year old Wheaton terrier late last year and miss him every day. They aren't kids, but they sure are family.
P.S. Nick sure had good taste in cars from the list in your signature!

I'm so sorry. Dogs can be better pals than most humans. We just lost a Chocolate Lab I inherited from my Daughter. Kidney failure as if she had ingested antifreeze, but we had none on the place.
I've also got a big Yellow Lab and two Jack Russels. The Lab makes me smile every time I see him. I just went to pick him up in the C4 this morning. He had gone to visit a friend in the neighboring subdivision.
The older Jack (in the C4 pic) is a real pal that's getting to the age where I'll have to prepare myself for the inevitable of your situation.
It may be hard to take for a long time, especially with the connection to the car. Hang in there and try to focus on the memories of the good times you both had.

Very sorry for your loss, I was unable to go down the dog food isle in the supermarket for about 3 months after our Rottweiler died. The road to recovery can very long for some.

Sorry to here about your fury friend. I haven't had a dog in a long time but do miss them, instead though I have a cat who thinks he's a human. He's my best friend and I surely would miss him if he weren't there when I got home. Take care and remember we don't own our pets, they own us and miss us just as much. -D²

Looked like a great friend. You need to read " The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein. It even looks like your buddy on the cover of the book. GREAT BOOK!!!
