Default best strut brace for early 89 c4

so i realize that they all have the same basic function but which manufacter makes the best quality and best fiting strut brace for an early 89 c4. Also when changing the rear sway bar to a larger one will it have to get a new alignment and if so what are the best alignment specs for street use that won't affect the tire wear to much on the same 89 c4????

Not sure if it is the best, but I like the looks of the Rennline strut tower brace I have in my 1990 C4. Easy to install and the car does feel "firmer" in corners with the brace installed. I got a great deal on mine from a WTB posting on the PCA.org mart.

+1 on the perfectpower brace. Well made, excellent customer service. It fits neatly under the trunk carpet too. So it's stealthy.

Oh and I went with RS alignment +10mm front and rear and a 20mm rear sway bar. Completely changed the handling of the car. But rear tire wear is on the high side. But I'm happy to pay that price given the way the car performs.

napaul, does your early car have the triangle like mine? I have never seen someone post a pic of their strut bar with the triangle in place. If anyone can verify that one will work over the carpet with the triangle, I would appreciate it. I have only seen these on earlier cars? My 2 cents is that I want a carbon fiber one, for looks, of course. There are 2 on ebay, an evolution and maxspeed brands.

Fabspeed do a replica of it now, surely the best for pure stiffening

+2 on the perfectpower brace. Excellent quality item and pretty much a copy of the period RUF item. Fits perfectly under the carpet.

I didn't get an alignment when I replaced mine. It's the same length, just stiffer/thicker, so it shouldn't affect alignment.

Resurrecting this thread to show I've tried to find the answer...I thinks I've found the strut brace I want but t says it's for a C2. Question is will a C2 brace fit my 1990 C4?

Sorry should have mentioned the I've seen is by UltraRacing. It's cheap and after looking at their website it looks like they done some testing with their own products. Seeing as I'm more road than track spending £200 on a extremely well engineered something seems a bit of overkill for me, especially as it going to be out of sight quietly doing its thing for most of the time. I'm prepared to be convinced otherwise though..
