timing chain housing and cover replacement
Had a timing chain cover leaking problem that I paid an independent to fix last summer. He drilled out the housing, filled it and tapped new threads. It worked for a while but its leaking again now. I located a used housing and cover and I'm considering doing this job my self. Don't have a time frame to finish it, have a couple cars to drive while this is being fixed. How hard of a task is this? Is this something a moderate DIY'er can do? Looking for instructions so I can decide whether to tackle it myself or farm it out. It's the passenger side. thanks

I replaced the timing chain cover gasket (left side) about a year ago. Its doable. I didn't remove housing itself. If you do a search for "timing chain cover" you will see a number of threads about it. I did the replacement on a Saturday with the help of a friend.
