Interesting FS 964 on CL...no affiliation
Interesting car worth checking out given the appearance, mods and price. Don't know anything about it...just posting it as a service. I'm in NJ...car is in CA

I don't think it looks too bad. Just needs some thorough cleaning and polishing thats all. Seems like a great deal if the PPI came out clean. Didn't notice the mileage however!

In the picture of the dash, it looks like the mileage is around 115,000. I think the price is right. It will need a respray and a thorough detailing. I think in the end, you'd have close to $25,000 in it, which is about right for a 964. A little high on miles, though.

Yeah, looked to me like either 216K or 218K.
Looks like he either had a dog(s), or hauled building materials in it.
He's down at the price point where you start to see just about anything.
There have been a lot cleaner examples with lower miles in that same price range, that have shown up in the last few months.
This one hasn't got much going for it, just a few interesting bits on a tired old puppy.

I'm almost positive that was the old Schatz Motorsport (a.k.a. Mike Schatz) 964 development car. Schatz were an FVD dealer.
Mike has since moved on to Kundensport (co-owned by Hans Lapine, son of Tony Lapine -google them if you don't recognize the name) - for interested parties, I'm sure you can give Mike a call and he'll tell you all about the car, at least during the time Schatz owned it.

I spoke with Randall, the current owner and he confirmed it is Mike's old car (purchased 5 years ago...where does the time go??).
Mike is very well regarded in the Porsche world, anyone interested in the car's history should not hesitate to give him a call.
