"the market" for Porsches here is very small and we pretty much know each other, we are nearly all in the Porsche Club (around 120 members) and most of us are friends.
Also the number of older 911s around is rather small and that´s why prices are so high (you can buy an used 2007 Cayman S for less money than a good 993 because there are more Caymans around than 993s (or 964s)
He can sell the 993 in a few days if he wanted the cash, thing is, he wants to have at least a 911 to keep being part of the Club
