i also heard about the possible battery drain but have not experienced it. maybe we're the lucky ones.

Ditto, 1990 c2, jumpered relays, everything works great and no battery drain. +1 on the write up!

Chris,

Late answer, good mod. Everything well except I miss CA right now. Pic from a week ago, my daily walk to the office... not much hot air here, Im still thinking on doing the mod, sounds good enough if it doesnt steal battery like crazy..hopefully there will be summer here this year too...

Sorry to jump start an old thread - but I am trying to find more information on the "jumpered relays" fix.

I unplugged by heater fan/tube and installed a carbon fiber bypass tube. MAYBE unrelated, but I do have a battery draw of about .7 amp now, which drains my battery over a couple of days. I keep it on a tender, so not a show stopper, but wondering if this might be my issue?

There is a relay that is plug and play so you don't have to do what's show in the thread below. (Can't think of the part number at the moment) I want to this is one of those parts that must be added when you have the RS duct as there is potential for fire. It's been a while I read about it and may have to go through the ancient threads.
