Default In the shop again....

So what I thought was my front passenger side wheel bearing going bad turned out to be much worse. The bearings in the transfer case on my '91 C4 are making lots of noise...oh joy!
The repair bill is going to be to the tune of $2800 including parts and 20 hrs of labor. The transmission will have to be pulled.

While it's down, any upgrades/other maintenance that I should perform? The clutch is pretty new (less than 5k miles on it), and I don't think I want to go the route of a LWF because it's a weekend toy and sees a reasonable amount of stop and go traffic, and I love some a/c!

Anything else I should consider?

Thanks!

First post I've seen for major front drive work. Too bad, maybe just some bad luck, huh.

Don't have any ideas for mods, but suggest you do the usual maintenance and check items for high wear / often replaced items: CV joint lube & rubbers, tie rods, steering rack, motor mounts, bushings, etc.

No leaks worth mentioning-2-3 drops a month. Yes, 58k on the odometer.

I had leaks at 48,544 -

There's not really a lot of blanks to fill in. It's got 993 motor mounts, fuel and brake lines have been redone, clutch has less than 5k on it.

Other than that supercharger......
