You're right - pillow ball mounts in the rear. That, plus ERP spring plates got me that setup.

e-mail, but over a year ago. Still undecided over Fikse or Rays Volk Racing.

Default 18" MPSC sizes

"I am not sure as I have not gone tire shopping yet.

I was thinking of 225/285 MPS's but I'll have to research what will fit.

On my 18" x 8"/10" MY02 rims I have 225/265 rims but I think I can squeeze a larger tire in the rear."

Marc, I think you'll find MPSC 285/30-18 will be too wide for the rims and will rub unless you flare the fender. Many of us use MPSC 235/40-18 and 265/35-18 in a 964 narrow body. The tire OD match front to rear, but you may have a little inside front rub in the paddock.

While the Fikse wheels are light and good looking, please note three piece wheels are not as robust as the single piece cast or forged wheels.

Some advice I learned the hard way: avoid dropping a wheel off the track or even running on the turtles, it can be expensive. You should think of three piece wheels as consumables that require periodic inspection and repair parts. When changing tires have the shop spin the bare wheel on their balancer and inspect the wheel. The inside wheel rim is probably the first area where stress cracks will show up.

Good luck

Fikse wheels are forged and very robust. There is nothing about a single piece wheel that makes it stronger or more robust than a quality forged three piece wheel. Especially not a cast wheel.
