Default Spare Seat Switch

Hi

Took my seat out as it wasn't working and has never worked on the front raised mech and I noticed that a few things we missing when taking the seat switch apart.

A spring and a couple of ball bearings compared to the other side.

if anyone has a broken/damaged switch that they no longer want or need let me know and i will happily take it off you hands with a little exchange of cash or carriage paid. (uk preferably as shipping may cost the same as a new part)

Thanks in advance

I rebuilt my seat switch recently. As I was pulluing the switch to pieces I lost 2 of the ball bearings.. got replacements from my local Suzuki motorcycle dealers - 8p each.

Thanks Kenloen thats sounds like a plan.

Do you have a part number at all? i could even try a bike shop (push bike) just need to think of somewhere that uses springs like the ones out of the switch.

nah, called them prior to make sure they sold (local hardware place put me onto them), went down and they size matched. make sure you get the fingers all cleaned up and the correct way round when trying to re-assemble, be a pain otherwise.. oh and for the spring, have you tried a something like pen?

oh and just cause its got 2* Suzuki ballbearings, doesnt make the car a ricer - like I was ribbed at work for..

I find lots of open ended threads when doing a search so just thought i would finish this one up

Sorted this today after popping to a mountain bike shop to get a ball bearing.

So a ball bearing and a pen spring cost nothing and now the seat is back to full working order after a clean of the switch mechanism. This will allow me to sit high for the road and lower the seat for my helmet on track days

Thanks
