The Project Mu pads are called a HC plus compound

http://www.project-mu.com.au/en/products/pad_hcplus.php

And just so you know, I don't have any affiliation with any of the products mentioned. i am just a happy customer.

I heard about drilling the airbox still a bit unconvinced there is any marginal gain from it, and what about water how does that work having holes in it like that?

What I've done (cost effective):

1. Carbon fibre strut brace
2. Steve Wong Chip
3. Removal of heater blower (so there's less heat in the cabin)
4. Cup pipe (primary muffler delete)
5. New leather RS style steering wheel

Not so cost effective, but well worth it
4. KW V3 suspension (best mod)
5. 964 Turbo brake upgrade + stainless steel braided lines

Anticipated mods
6. Lightweight Fikse/TE 37 forged rims
7. Quaife Tip LSD

Is the air-filter-box really that restrictive on the 964?
Compared to a lot of other cars with more bhp, that inlet tube is huge on the 964.

It wasn't something they altered on the RS so it must have been reasonable efficient without holes.

You could go all the way and do this post #24: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...ox-swap-2.html

If you want real world, data verified observations about what these minor engine modifications do, consider my former 100% stock RSA could get me 121-122 before I had to brake for T1 at Thunderhill. The 993 faux RS with its 3.8L and regearing gets me maybe 128 on my absolutely best laps. Same tires, and about 2-3MPH better exit speed off corner entering the straight with the 993.

(For further comparison, recently a guy with a 500+HP 993 Turbo put some video with data overlay up and he got to about 135. Granted, he was braking way too early, and running laps about 2 seconds faster than what I could do with the RSA. But even a well run early 997GT3RS going deep can barely get 140MPH.)

You can futz around and spend a little here and a little there, but all you're doing is spending money to get a hare better acceleration. Might as well donate it to a women's shelter or food bank.

How about a picture of the RS steering wheel? Assuming you received it in black and kept it that way. Thanks for 1 - 7 btw.

Bought it from Type911:

Cost effective for me as the Sing strengthened significantly against the sterling.

Got the all black version as my interior doesn't have silver or gold, and am a bit **** that way.

Another good option is this 993RS, if you're ok with the silver/gold. Looks nice:

Seen them on a couple of 964s, just like Jimjacqmx5's.

Paint your calipers with caliper paint , drill out airbox, install red tint over the pink rear lens (if yours have turned pink , there is a thread on this one) Tranny fluid replace , Clean out ISV I think thats what it was called . Paint the rear louvers on the wing. All this can be done for about $100 bucks thats cheap!!

I know its highly debated but a chip is not a big improvement. I posted some data years ago...

The advice to lose weight is a great one in my opinion.

Get a muffler shop to bypass the primay or the secondary muffler. It's way less expensive than purchasing an aftermarket bypass.

Do routine maint to make sure the motor is at peak.

Take out your headlight glass and wash it with alchohol to restore the shine. There are threads on that here.

The bilstien suspension setup is not cheap but it's a huge improvement.

I don't wish to be the devils advocate but how can you say a chip is not an improvement???

I have dyno figures done at an official Porsche dealership on the same day showing a 14% increase in power. My car went from 186kw to 210kw! Yes, this was in conjunction with a muffler bypass and a colda air intake but we all know that the intake and the cup pipe maybe gave 5kw at best.
I then took it to an official timed drag strip and my car dropped over half a second off the 0-100 time and did a 12.5 second quarter mile.
The difference in driving the car with/without the chip is night and day.
My car also regularily competes on the track and pulls as hard as a 996 GT3. Both of which i have driven back to back on many occasions.
I do almost identical lap times in either car so it is not driver ability.....

An aftermarket stainless steel muffler bypass is around $200. Hardly expensive and most exhaust shops can't suitably form the specific Porsche exhaust flange joins so you'll probably end up with an exhaust leak.
