great DIY, worked almost perfectly for me.

my only issue was i couldnt get a screw eye big enough for the mirror bolt to fit up through but small enough to fit into the mirror housing - i ended up using the round end of a large spanner which worked out perfectly, as soon as the mirror bolt was far enough compressed into the mirror housing to rotate all i had to do was twist the spanner, and voila!

(just needs cleaned up now, and i need to clean off the doors where the flag bases were and wire it all up)

Great 'how to' The wiring will help me get passenger mirror up and running as I did not take it off the car (bodyshop did)

Thanks for posting

The link for the DIY is now dead. Does anyone know how I could find it? The bodyshop took my mirrors off and they have left it in a right mess!
