The RS2 was the orginal Audi RS and has a 2.2l 5 pot turbocharged engine and was built by Porsche on the same line as the 959.
The mirror's, turbo, brakes and wheels are all from a 930 turbo.
This car is as fast as my 2006 Carrera - no ****!
This particular car is owned by a tech at Porsche of Cape Town and is one of only 180 right hand drive models worldwide and one of a handful (no more than 9 for sure) in South Africa. It has over 200 000 km's on it.

Never had the pleasure of driving one but I've loved the thought of owning one since day 1. One of the original stealth cars.

I can tell you that Chris's car above still rode really well, despite the mileage. Also I figured with the turbo it would not sound like much, but hearing that waste gate pop on overrun gave me goose bumps - intoxicating I tell ya!

Brakes are from a 928S4.
Great car, thought about getting one myself until I realised I could have a RHD 2005 4.2V8 S4 Avant with 30k on the clock for the same money.

Bruce,
Thanks for posting these. What a great car!
I drove one a few years ago in Bolzano Italy as part of a press program covering 25 years of Quattro.
It was one of Audi's museum cars and drove as new...which means as well as any modern car. In fact if you were blindfolded and dropped in it you'd guess it was a new Audi...only the square dash design gives away its age.
They also took us for a ride up the side of a ski hill in something...um. special;-)

Even more off topic: there is a tahoe blue 964 in the UK which has the bottom half of the front bumper from these cars (the 'mouth' part with the opening either side). I guess they 'mated' the top of a 964 bumper with the bottom of this audi bumper. It was posted recently and people liked it (I forget where it was posted - here or 911uk).

The mirrors and wheels are off a 964 not a 930.
Brakes are 928 sourced as mentioned.
Turbo is not the 930 3LDZ or 965 7200..so definitely not 930 or 965 sourced.
Of interest the RS2 were produced side by side at the Porsche Zuffenhausen factory right next to the fantastic W124 500E Benz.
