Default Leather damage

My midnight blue C2 Tip has a white/grey leather interior which is in pretty good condition except from the handbrake and gearshift **** - can anyone tell me the official name for the leather colour and the best place to buy replacement parts?

Check out your cigarette lighter! I think the colour is "Linen", but someone else can confirm that. A good product to use is "Scuffmaster" made by Gliptone. You need the repair kit, about £10 I think, and they will stock your colour. You might also want to buy their "Liquid Leather" cleaner and also the conditioner if you dont have any leather cleaning stuff already. I have all 3 of those products and think they are all great.

http://www.dynamixdyes.com/ is on your side of the pond.

Good luck, and be sure to post "after" pictures.

My former company was an Aircraft Parts Distribution company and we took on a product line called SEM which was a paint for automotive interiors to repaint or change color (leather or vinyl). We took it into the aviation market and my experience with the product was very good. It was flexible enough that it would not chip, and they had the ability to customer match the color if you sent them a sample. Do a google search on SEMProducts to check it out.

Thanks everyone so far (and btw the cigarette lighter was removed within minutes of purchasing the car!) - some good tips for cleaning the leather.

The gearknob and handbrake are beyond repair IMO, so does anyone know the best place i can get replacements...?

I ordered this one in December. Its back ordered until mid-Jan so I can't speak to the quality yet, but the price seemed right.

J81 - in the UK you could try suppliers like:
type911
design911
porschshop

or auto leather upholsterers could re-trim / re-cover what you have got:
southbound
gabbatt & brown

Let us know what you choose - mine are also looking a bit worn.

I used Gliptone's Scuffmaster, and it worked well on my steering wheel.

I agree with Gliptone suggestion. I redid leather seats on my Bimmer and was surprised how well it actually worked. I was pretty skeptical when I ordered.
