Default leather restoration

The interior of the car is very nice except for a couple of spots, which of course draw my eyes whenever I open the door.
Driver's seat in front of the power seat control is worn to a suede-like condition.
Driver's handle has dark scratches. I think it just needs a deep cleaning, but am afraid of doing more damage than good.
I did a search and all the posts were for rip repair.
Would appreciate any pointers for restoring these areas.

I believe you can have the few spots re-dyed for a nominal fee. Check with your local upolstry shops.

I would also suggest Leatherique products. Here's a link with a really detailed DIY (lots of pics)

Do a quick RL search (whole forum) for "leatherique" and you'll see pages of information and pictures of great results.

You might need crack filler for the abraded area at the front of the seat?

Thanks again guys, I did find pages and pages, which led me to Color Plus. I chose them and kit 3A, http://www.colorplus.com/products.html#kits because they were (almost) local and were reported to have very personalized service. I have no affiliation with them, and I've never dyed leather before. They make Porsche Cashmere beige as a standard color, so that kept the cost down. The kit arrived telling me the color they mixed for me that day had a 99.86 match to the master for Cashmere beige. It came with a report that looked like a used oil analysis. The only issue for me is that a 99.86 match is to NEW Cashmere beige, not 20 year old, worn, UV exposed leather. I was doing patchwork and this is apparent on the bolster, compared to the non-restored center section on the left. It was also apparent when I sanded, as the first very light pass with 400 sandpaper revealed a light color that was the original, and was not coincidently a perfect match to the Surflex color finish. I also btw, did the shifting **** as it was worn at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, where the stitching meets the shift pattern, at the top.

First night I gave all the leather and vinyl sides a deep clean, with the citrus cleaner. It has a nice, fresh lemon smell, which compliments and nicely balances the gasoline odor in the cabin. I let it dry 24 hours as instructed.
The next three nights I used the conditioner, letting it absorb for 24hrs between applications and finally 'painted' three light coats of color. I used the finest bristle brush I could find at the hardware store. One previous RL post said, 'if you don't know what you're doing with an airbrush, you'll make a mess' right, fine, paintbrush it is. You do see brush strokes in the paint with the 1st coat, but they disappear after the 2nd/3rd. It is possible to limit brushstrokes at the end of applying each coat by dabbing the brush (like trying to paint the cracks in cement) over the entire area. It dries more natural this way. Here are the 'after' results, along with the complete directions. I'm very happy with the kit, I never needed any personal service, and don't doubt it was available.

so what would be the protocall for getting the burgundy leather replaced with black? dye it or just purchase new material?

While researching this, I noticed several people have totally changed their interior color with a new dye. I would email whichever company you decide to go with, for any tips and what to watch out for. btw, burgundy and black are standard colors with the company I used (Color Plus), so for $94 + shipping, you can re-do all the leather and vinyl.
