Default Two questions...

1. Can someone give me information about the front bumper pictured??? It looks mean!

2. Why is it that some 964s and it doesn't seem dictated by year, correct me if I'm wrong, have a lower dash and some don't? Pictured...

Frank,
I think the answer to # 2 is if the car came equipped with airbags.
The airbag goes where the glovebox use to go, so the glovebox was lowered.

I have never seen that 964 bumper. I would love to see a better picture of it. Here in the US the 90+ 964s have the airbag dash shown in the top pic. The only US 964 with the old style dash is the 89 C4. The 2nd picture with the sport buckets in houndstooth appears to be the white 964 with 993tt engine that has been featured in many magazines. I believe it is a later car but he installed the early non-airbag lower dash.

The answer to Q #2 is the lower dash cars are equipped with air bags.

There is also a kit to remove the factory knee blosters e.g. lower dash, which a lot of people elected to do. I guess that is what happened with the car pictured above as it doesn't match the rest of the dash very well.

Exactly, it looks better, newer, shinier and blacker than the rest of the dash. So I am guess it was an AM kit on this car.

That is a pretty slick looking front fascia.

The memory is foggy but I think Ruf Cars offered a front fascia like this at one time back in the day?

Looks like an Audi RS2 bumper has been grafted-on. Looks more aggressive than the 964 bumper...has that old-school 911 center-mounted front oil cooler look.

Staying tune -in for more info on the bumper - that does look good - need to add a lower lip spoiler though

Nice call! I wouldn't have made that connection but it does look like an exact match.

Ids the swap out even possible to do - must be - but the lights look PORSCHE nd not like the Audoi turn and side lights - Look like CUP 1's - (next thing we will discover is that the Audi has an air cooled rear engine )
