Good man! Vic is right, wise words from your wife

Mine is about to start costing me too I think, if it's any consolation. My clutch started slipping quite badly on yesterdays run out and as it's an engine out job, who knows what else will show up. The trouble is, I'm getting married next March and weddings don't come cheap, so there is a possibility I may have to take it off the road until next Spring, which would be a shame. Still, I'll cross that bridge when it comes!

I was gonna turn up last-min .com but I found this when the 993 would not behave on Saturday morning it felt like it was on a skating rink in the rain
2 x rears shot

The Little Red Baron should be good for an outing next month with a bit of luck

Yes, shame about the clutch, when they start slipping, that's pretty much it..... i had to get mine changed last year, and was on a very tight budget (having just paid for new exhaust, and air mass meter) so i begged GTONE to do me a cheap job. Obviously, i can't guarantee they will do it as cheaply as they did mine, but with the right incentives, a non-genuine part, and a lot of negotiation, they did it for me, for less than half the original price i had been quoted. Incidentally, they can do them, without removing the engine, which is what saves the labour. Good luck, PM me with your number if you want more info.

Thanks for the info Darren. I think I'll drive it for a bit and see if the slipping re-occurs.

Hi guys, great to meet you all on the meet last Sunday, sorry about the Z4! Looking to get rid and having a PPI done on the 964 on eporsche.co.uk (c2 coupe in guards red). Hopefully next time I see you I will be in a more fitting vehicle. BTW if anyone knows of someone looking for a Z4 2.5si SE 30K miles (2006) convertible please let me know!!

Looks like everyone had a great time, sorry I missed it... looking forward to the next one going to do everything I can to be there...any thoughts on when it will happen? I have a pilgrimage to Zuffenhausen (after a day at Nurburgring) to do in mid-July but if the next run is on 23 or 24 July I could swing it...am booked in for a factory tour on what is supposedly the last day the 997s will be produced before they retool for the 991 (21 July)... I know they are watercooled but at least the museum next door has some proper air-cooled Pork...

Sunday July 31st will more than likely be the date for the next meet.

Wow that all sounds like one seriously fun pilgrimage - take lots of pictures for us to see!
