Unfortunately I didn't know there are 2 different ABS ECU's for 964's. One for C2, RS and C2/4 Turbolook and another for narrow body C4's. I bought one of the former from Turbohead but it doesn't fit my C4 so I'm still searching for somebody who has a spare. The part number of the one I need is 96461812601.

I have a spare one without any moisture damage, but seems to give me an issue with the lateral and longitudinal sensors. I think it must be the voltage coming out of the ECU to the sensor, however I have not taken the time to track this down.

Good luck. They are rare and expensive when found. I want to fix a broken ECU I have so that I have a backup.

Thanks. Actually, I don't even know what's wrong. I have the 4WD and ABS lights on, and a million threads of reading, and telling my workshop to trouble shoot. I still have no idea what the cause is.

So now..... I am changing everything related to ABS. Not the best idea, but am out of ideas!
