Thanks Rockerdogbert, beautifull machines but this shop's prices are usually above my target.

Also contact Paul Mclean at GT Classics (www.gtclassics.co.uk). He's the UK specialist in RS's and knows the market very well. He works very closely with Thomas Schmitz.
During the last 2-3 years a lot of UK RS's have been going back to Europe because the exchange rate has made UK cars relatively cheap for people buying in Euros.
Good luck!

I think in the RS world now, you'll pay more for totally original compared to one which has been personalized - but looks a nice car. As with all RSs I'd get a good inspection before you buy it.
You won't regret it when you get one.

I have been told cage is Matter, but we will see.
Regarding the inspection i am getting good advise from a friend and expert who has done many RS deals. The car will be fully checked in Germany by a Porsche shop specialized on these cars before any decision is made.
I understand it is not fully original: CF doors, 6 speed ( they say 993 RS original , let's see), new engine with 300 german horses, (they are suposed to be bigger ones), 3.6 T brakes... but i prefer it this way as the use will be basically track
Let's see how it goes,

THere are a number of things on that car which is not original: Seatbacks are painted (original black), SW changed, shifter ****, aftermarket speakers, the rear carpet does not look original (RS text), fan and engine parts have been painted, the cup2s are not magnesium etc etc. Proceed with caution. Check the engine/VIN numbers if they match. But as you say if you know what you are getting and do a proper PPI it could be a good buy still.. But as I said, proceed with caution.. GL

I can't belief the red one here in Germany is a real / not rebuild RS. All the details are already named, except the basin - where in regular Coupes the whiper motor is based is usually not built into the RS body. This looks for me like a rebuild RS on a C2/4 body, with maybe a rewealded VinNr.
But this is just guessing from somebody who is free of knoweledge ;-)
Best regards, Tim

I have a 964 RS in red that I know since it was new and also a friends RS in the same garage. If I compare the "Carrera RS" script in the rear for instance. It doesen't look right in this car. It is placed to high and also to defined. The door straps look to long and flimsy. I know it's small details but as as previous responses, proceed with caution.
Good luck
