Read the threads from Doug&Julie. He bought a 964 for about $11k and spent about $8k pretty quickly on maintenance/repairs that weren't too serious.

True, but that is a "worst case". IMO, that whole thing could have been mitigated a great deal. His trusted mechanic did him no favors, in my view.
Curiously, I see that car is now on a Porsche used lot in Cincy - for about what he originally paid for it.

That's a really nice color... and not a bad looking car from 10 feet... If I had the $$ I'd transplant all my goodies into it... but fortunately I don't have the resources right now. ;-)

By the way, Baltic Blue is the best color out there. Red, White, Black, blah, blah, blah.

P.S. I remember seeing that car on Ebay in the past, I believe it had 90+K miles on it at the time.
