Rennline Lower Dash Question
Just wondering if anyone installed a Rennline lower dash on a street car? It looks like it may give extra leg room, but you lose the glove box and ash tray.
Main concern is whether with the lower dash all the wires, hvac, and electrical components are visible from driver/passenger position. I like things kept neat, so would not consider if everything under the dash becomes visible.
Any pictures from seated position?
Thanks.

Drifting
I installed one this spring. I had the big airbag dashboard so I saved 9 kg. It looks really good, like something that could have been from the factory. Yes, you see more of the cables etc but it doesn't look a mess. I post a pic after work today.

Hi Duck,
The Rennline product is extremely well made and really looks the part when fitted.......provided you take your time to clean things up underneath:
* radio/assorted wiring: tuck up out of sight using cable binders. Use black insulation tape to cover the one or two small areas where bold wire colours remain visible in order to blend them in.
* Renew/extend kick panel carpeting to cover bare areas previously occupied by dash mounting brackets
* Remove lower dash support hump from center console (this contains a bracket which also needs removing) and recover the now messy bracket hole with carpet.
The dash is literally installed in seconds.....on a non track car finishing the job to a high standard will take some more time but in the end is very rewarding. A much cleaner look, more leg room / less claustrofobic and you save about 6.5Kg in the process!
