Default Road Trip Pix- OT

I am in the middle of a road trip from Portland OR, through Santa Fe, over to Tulsa, then back to the NW at the end of the week. I have some family business, mixed with a much anticipated trip to Arches National Park. No Porsche action as I am bringing a car to my daughter at school... and she only needs a Toyota...

For those interested, here is a photoset of some of the 32 GB of images I grabbed while there on Monday, just ahead of a big storm that rolled across to the North on I-70.

A couple are HDR images, but a couple are dead shots, with no digital post processing at all.. just the way the light turned out near sunset... Probably the most fun day I've ever had shooting... enjoy.

The one included here is all natural light, with no digital effects at all.

Just got back from doing 1200 miles on the backroads of AZ and NM. Route 60 so damn interesting. Got to the Painted Desert, Rio Grande canyon, Red Rock, Tonto Forest, and many, many towns not even on the map. Fantastic landscape, fantastic people, though lots of poor in these small towns. Went on 1-70, too, for a while. Nice pics. I just had my cell phone as the camera--abandoned antler tree, Los Alamos Motel, etc etc.

I can't tell if you're teasing me or not... HDR is a little bit like visual crack.. I see why people overdo it... but it sure is fun to play with.

no--- I'm not a huge fan of HDR, but a little bit is ok. You did a nice job not going over the top with it.

Your pictures of Arches are beautiful! The last time I was there was in '73 - a road trip from Miami to San Francisco in a VW Fastback. I'd love to get back there in my 964 but its a long way from South Brittany!
