Default Wind noise passenger dash

Prior to dismantling my dashboard has anyone else experienced any significant wind noise coming from the passengers side dash local to the door?
(UK spec car)

Nothing at low speeds but as soon as I hit 60ish it gets pretty loud and annoying....

Is the vent ducting properly connected? Could you have moved something inadvertently when you dismantled the dash?

I used to have a good old whistling wind noise from the passenger side. It was particularly annoying at 120+ . I put new door seals on and now it's good for 140 (not had the chance to try it at any higher speeds yet).

I have it too on my drivers side. thought it was the hood at first but after a good listen on the motorway it is definately coming from the corner of the dash near the windscreen.

Check the seal between the luggage area and the air conditioner. Air getting into the trunk can go directly into the cabin if it's not tight.

There should be sealant in this area -

If it hardens and fractures, you can get a really annoying amount of wind noise that can be very hard to track down.

Hey John,
I'm getting an annoying wing nice from the driver side also. Can't really tell from your picture. Do you have a part # or a close up picture? Thanks

No, but if you pop the trim off the door top, it's easy to spot the black mastic-type sealant and perhaps even see if it has cracked. I found it (after a LOT of experimentation) by stuffing first a cloth and then lots of Blu-tak into the area. Both of these cut the noise considerably, then I spotted the split in the mastic that was the culprit.
