Default Help from Photoshop experts please

Hello all,

Early days yet but I'm thinking of colour options for my new project. Can anyone please photoshop the attached picture so that the car is black in colour but the bumper, wing mirrors and sills/rockers are green. Open to ideas on other colour combos too Many Thanks.

Good luck with your decision.

Not a bad effort Lonnie, I was going to use photoshop but photoshop is for wimps.

MS Paint is where you see real talent...

Lee,
  1. Make a new, transparant layer above the original photo.
  2. Fill that transparency with the color of your choice.
  3. Add a 'black' mask to that new layer.
  4. Paintbrush white the mask area to reveal the new color on top of the original photo.

    and here's the key part:
  5. Change the Layer Mode to Dodge, or Darken, or anything other than Normal.
Experiment with changing that color layer's Mode and Transparency settings to vary the effects to your taste.

Anyone wanting to take a crack at this on-the-cheap, should download GIMP. It's free.
(Not near PS's device quality or power, but it gets the job done for me! It even has a 'warping' tool that I used to fix Talat's car's smile. Have a look...)

Open in PS.
Use the magnetic tool to cut out the edge,
Press ALT and the mouse to de-select the parts you want.
Clcik image curves
and select Green in the drop down box)
Job done

Still think MS Paint is funnier
