Yes its mischief night in jersey also known as goosey night and cabbage night.
It's gets pretty out of control around where I live.

It's very strange tonight though, theres not one piece of toilet paper or kid in my neighborhood and usually it looks like a warzone.

Somethings not right.

Had never heard of it! And as a (near) lifelong Oakland resident, you'd think ANY excuse to run around wild would be taken.

It's known as 'mat night' in this part of Canada (as in door mat trickery). Seems quiet this year as well, likely due to the snowfall that started around 9:00 pm and lasted until early morning. Great timing Mr. weatherman

Well no one does "devil's" night like good ole Detroit, people run around setting buildings on fire, soap and TP are for wimps.

They set the standard, that's for sure. Nothing builds fellowship and camaraderie like a good 'car-flipping'.
Like scenes from some apocalyptic movie.

When I was growing up in and around Oakland we just made sure to stay indoors on nights like tonight. Didn't want to take a wayward bullet in the head from all the fools shooting into the sky.
