Default The OEM wheels have grown on me.

For the longest time I wanted Cup wheels but never sprang for 'em. But lately I find that I really like the original D90 964 wheels. Any one else of the same opinion?

For Factory wheels those Cup are on the top 3 but truthfully there are nicer wheels out there, just not OEM

I use the original D90s with a twist: front 7" and rear 9" wide.
Tires are cheap (Contisports), are Porsche approved (N1), the ride is sooo confortable, and the performance is above my driving skills.
Plus the original looks is so refreshing. How many 964 do we see that look still like they did on day1?
One caveat though: to look their best, the D90s need to be very clean. No baked-on brake pad dust in the small recesses.

+1 on George K's comment - I like D90's, but they do require constant attention to keep them clean and looking nice. Can't beat how lightweight they are!

When I got my car it had late 90s Boxer wheels (you can see them in the pic on the left) but I was fortunate to find both a set of D90s and Cup 1s. The car is wearing the Cup 1s but I think I'd be pretty happy with the D90s, both just look right IMO. Still have all 3 sets BTW...I'm a bit of a pack rat

+1 on D90's

However, I decided that the chrome finish looks best on my GPW. On pavements they turn dark from the reflections. I was shocked by how different they looked from painted, and how much better IMO. And tbey're really easy to keep clean. Only problem I've had is the chrome tends to flake from the inner lip and cause leaks. One by one I'm wire brushing the chrome off the lip and reinstalling tires with a sealant on the lip.

Yes on D90s.
I had plans for upgrades when I bought the car. Cup wheels, up to 17s, bullet mirrors. But have fallen in love with being stock as I can be. Guess I am going through a retro phase in my life. Well, kind of. Not going back platform shoes.
