Default Whale tail on C2 964

Sorry if this has been asked before,

just wondering on your guys opinion on putting like a 930/SC/3.2/965 whale tail(if there even is a way) of some sort on a 964 C2, I don't like mismatching car parts but It just seems missing

Also was there an option to buy a whale tail from the manufacturer for the 964?

Yes, an RSA tail.


Otherwise you have to mod an older whale tail to the 964.

The 965 Whale tail was originally designed to make room for the turbo intercooler. The turbo intercooler sat high in the engine compartment that it could not accomadate the C2/4 spoiler. There had to be a bigger opening and higher wing for the intercooler combined with adequit

engine cooling. The Turbo wing is high and wide. So with the wider body style and lower hieght it looks proportionate. With the narrow body and higher hieght of the C2/4 it looks just enough to be disproportionate. The RS wing would be period correct and looks more like it belongs because it is a little narrower and lower. If you want to get off the beaten path there are many other wings available. I like the look of the 993 RS wing. Better Bodies makes one to fit our 964. (no affiliation) which is what I am thinking of installing.

Yeah I like the 993 RS wing better than the 964 Turbo wing.

I found a shorter RS tail that looks like it would be perfect anyone know the exact specification of it.

I'm not sure how the 993rs tail would go on a 964...seems to be a bit 'curvy' in comparison to the 964 body style.

I would like to see a 997.1 GT3-esque tail on a 964...but I'm waiting for someone else to try it first!
